Community Based Animal Welfare & Pet Eduction
Safe Paws organizes neighborhood efforts so they can network lost and found pets and assist injured wildlife in accordance with city, county and state laws.
A successful Safe Paws program requires a strong team of volunteers. Ideally, the team will be lead by dedicated community members with experience in some area of animal welfare, veterinary care or pet services.
Safe Paws provides the tools and information necessary for local neighborhood chapters to build
informational and educational campaigns.
Pet First Aid, CPR and Emergency Preparedness
events are also part of the Safe Paws Pet Ed program.
Support for Local Shelters
All Safe Paws programs promote adopting pets from and volunteering for local shelters and reputable rescues.
Eligible Neighborhood Safe Paws programs may qualify to receive supplies, special training and grants.
